Wymeswold Bowls Club.
Where You Are Always Welcome.

This was held as part of the club's 80th Anniversary celebrations with the first club game being played in 1937.
The celebrations will culminate with a club tour to York in September.
A total of 48 members and guests enjoyed an afternoon of bowling which was preceded by a welcome glass of Pimms, followed by a sumptious three course meal which was organised by Linda.

.A Spider was won by Ian, and the President's Team narrowly beat the Lady President's Team.
We are a mixed, flat green, bowls club with a healthy membership of around sixty
and are situated behind the village hall in the village of Wymeswold, North Leicestershire
(please see 'Contact Us' page for directions).
The club is renowned for its friendliness and new members are always welcome. If you are unsure
or inexperienced please feel free to come along and give it a go.
There are coaching sessions for those wishing to learn the game or those who are wanting to hone their skills.
If you do decide to join us it won't be long before you find yourself getting more competitive and wanting to
join one of our several teams playing in the various leagues around Loughborough and the Vale of Belvoir.
If league matches are not your scene we have many friendly games arranged throughout the season, mainly
at weekends, where the atmosphere is far more relaxed but still competitive.
||The Village Hall (pictured left and below) is conveniently positioned at the end of the green and enables us to offer full afternoon teas to our opponents during our friendly fixtures. It also provides us with an excellent venue for other club functions and social activities etc.
